How it works: from sunlight to year-round energy

In summer, your solar panels generate electricity. Surplus energy is either used immediately, stored for winter, or sold to the grid.

In winter, the hydrogen is converted back into electricity and heat, powering and heating your home even when the sun isn’t shining.

Thanks to Photoncycle’s large storage capacity, you can use summer solar energy in the depths of winter.

Transparent monthly pricing with no upfront costs

Unlike traditional solar and heating systems that require a large upfront investment, Photoncycle offers a fixed monthly subscription that includes everything:

• All products: Solar panels, Photoncycle unit, underground storage, required connections
• Installation of the system to your home
• Maintenance and servicing
• Smart energy management and system monitoring

There are no upfront costs — you simply pay a monthly fee that covers your electricity, heating, and service. What’s more, you can earn money by selling surplus energy when market prices are high, reducing your monthly cost even further.

• The monthly fee is approximately 350 euros, depending on the market.
• Every month, your household receives a share of the net trading revenue, which is deducted from your monthly fee. This is estimated to average around 100-150 euros, but varies based on your energy production, consumption, and market price fluctuations. Here’s what’s included in a Photoncycle system:

1. Solar Panels

You can choose between three solar options:

• Traditional solar panels, mounted on your current roof.
• Solar roof tiles, replacing your existing roof with integrated solar tiles.
• Your existing solar panels, if they meet the required production capacity.

2. Photoncycle unit

Installed outside your home, this unit converts electricity into hydrogen for storage. The hydrogen is stored in solid-state form, allowing compact storage for longer time periods.

3. Underground storage unit

This underground unit is installed next to your home and can store up to 10,000 kWh of energy — enough to cover the energy needs of most homes through winter.

4. Mobile App

Monitor your system, trading revenues, and stored energy through an easy-to-use mobile app.
